On your wedding day, florals play a huge role in creating the dream aesthetic and setting of your Pinterest board dreams. You likely dream of statement ceremony pieces, colorful bouquets and boutonnières for your wedding parties, and hanging greenery throughout your venue. Even with an extensive wish list of wedding florals, there are ways to be creative with reusing and purposing floral arrangements to stay within your desired budget. Repurposing florals is also a great way to stay eco-friendly and keep your event more sustainably focused.
Here are some creative ways to make the most of your floral arrangements throughout your wedding:
Ceremony Pieces
Ceremony/Arch Florals: If your florist designed any arch arrangement, floral pillars, or ceremony backdrop pieces for you- this is a beautiful and usually simple portion of your florals to move inside after the ceremony to elevate your reception space. A perfect spot to move ceremony florals to is framing your sweetheart table or behind your head table at the chairs you will sit at as a couple.
Keep in mind, however, that depending upon the weight and mechanics of your ceremony pieces and where they might go in the venue, your floral team might have some restrictions on just how moveable these pieces are. Make sure to have this conversation with your floral consultant during your initial meeting so that you can clarify exactly what is able to be moved on your wedding day.

Aisle Arrangements: If you have floral arrangements down the aisle or at the back, move them from the ceremony to the reception space and place them anywhere that could benefit from a little extra color pop or floral moment. Some ideas include framing the fireplace in the foyer, decorating the corner of your bar, or even around your dessert tables!

Bridal Party Bouquets
Head Table Decor: Another great option for the bouquets is decorating your Head Table with both your bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets in vases down the table for a cohesive look. Even if you have brought your ceremony florals inside behind the head table, the bouquets will still match those pieces and draw all the florals together.
Floral Arch or Backdrop
Photo Booth: If you are not using your ceremony arch or floral pieces for any kind of head table decor, a great alternative idea is to use these pieces as a backdrop for anywhere you have a photo area set up! Even if you don’t have a photo booth area specifically designated, the ceremony arch or florals could always stay outside or in the ceremony space as a convenient spot for people to take pictures throughout the night.

Flower Petals
Exit Toss: Another idea for keeping a sustainable focus with your florals is to reuse some flower petals for an exit toss at the end of the reception. This is a wonderful alternative for sendoffs where the sun will still be up, as the petals will show up better in photos than sparklers. These petals could be pulled from florals later in the night once reception is wrapping up- an easy task to give to a family member or friend willing to help!
Additional Floral Arrangements
Memory Table: For any additional florals you still have after any repurposing from ceremony, consider using them to adorn a memory table or your cards and gifts table. If you are looking for something smaller, you could also reuse the bouquet idea to repurpose those florals for around your memory photos.
Guest Favors: Lastly, give your florals away at the end of the night as a thank you for coming to your guests! Any Fiori containers or vases must stay at the venue at the end of the night, but feel free to distribute bundles or clippings of flowers to your guests to take home and enjoy in their own homes for as long as they stay fresh!
