Some weddings you work. Some weddings you feel in your chest for months after. Mya’s was one of those.
Mya has been part of the Fiori Florals family for years. We’ve watched her pour herself into hundreds of weddings, chatting with brides to find and create their dreams and the quiet pride of seeing a vision come to life. She’s always been the one behind the scenes, making someone else’s most important day beautiful.
This time, it was her turn! And we felt the weight of that. Every single one of us here at Fiori Florals.
Mya will be the first to tell you that a wedding wasn’t always part of her plan. But then Martin came along, everything shifted.
“Before meeting Martin I never really envisioned myself having a wedding,” she shared. “But after meeting him I knew we had a love worth every minute of celebrating.”
And from that place, she built a day that was entirely, unmistakably them.

There’s something really special about watching someone plan their own wedding from inside a floral studio.
We watched Mya pull linen swatches, layer textures, and refine her Pinterest board over a matter of weeks, and from the very beginning, it was clear this day would be magical. Every choice had a reason. Every detail had a feeling behind it.
“I wanted the day to feel very intentional,” she said. “Every invitation, vendor, and detail had thought behind it. I also wanted it to feel intimate — a party with all our favorite people, and a night to just celebrate love in general.”

Her palette reflected exactly that: deep plum, warm taupe, moody green, and touches of gold. No stark whites. Nothing cold or expected. Just rich, layered, romantic tones that felt like a long dinner with the people she and Martin love most.
When it came time for her flowers, we knew we wanted them to be as special as she is.
Her bridal bouquet became the heart of the entire story. Cymbidium orchids in deep copper and rust, antique roses in warm blush and taupe, and delicate hellebores, all tied with a lesser bear ribbon.
It was rich. Textural. Completely her.
The rest of the day followed that same feeling — sperentine tables, ambient lamplight, layered textures that felt collected over time, and subtle florals touches that felt like they belonged in the room, not just placed on top of it.

The Ellis in Columbus was the perfect setting for it all. As a Columbus wedding florists, we can say with full confidence it is a stunning venue in the heart of Italian Village.
There are certain days in this work that remind you why you do it. The moment Mya walked into everything she had so carefully built was one of them.
Our director, who has known her for years, was emotional. We all were. Watching someone who has given so much of herself to this work finally receive that same level of care… it’s something you don’t forget.
The day was documented so beautifully by Derks Works. The intimate private ceremony to the fun that was evening. And many of us got to be there for it. Not just as vendors, but as part of celebrating the beginning of their marriage!
After 11 years in the wedding industry, Mya has seen it all. And her advice is simple:
“Stay true to you and what feels right for your marriage.”
It’s the kind of perspective that only comes from witnessing so many love stories and you can feel it in every part of the day she created for herself.
Mya, it was the honor of a lifetime to be a small part of your day. We love you and we would do it all again in a heartbeat.
Congratulations to you and Martin! 🤍
